Bandai's HG Gundam 00 lineup now gets a cool snap-fit assembly kit of Allelujah Haptism's personal Mobile Suit, the variable Gundam Kyrios! Molded in color, it will be articulated with plenty of polycap joints upon completion and can switch between MS Mode and Flight Position. Weapons include a GN beam submachine gun and a GN shield that can be converted into a claw. A sheet of foil stickers is included for detail. Not a drop of glue or paint required, although painting it would add a more realistic appearance.

 "Excellent but flimsy kit" 2008-06-30
By Michigoon (Mid-MI)
The 1/144 scale HG Gundam Kyrios is an excellent contrast to the Dynames kit from the same line. Whereas Dynames had perfect built quality but lacked equipment, Kyrios has most of its equipment but the build quality is lessened.

The good:

-It transforms! Yes, you can change the kit over to flight mode as seen in the show.

-Most of the equipment is here. You get the GN Submachine Gun, the GN Shield, two Beam Saber hilts, and even an extra hand (so the left hand can either be in closed fist or open hand positions).

-No paint or glue is required, as the kit snaps together and looks great out of the box. You can detail all you want, but the kit looks great as is.

-The Solar Furnace from the shows is made by using a reflective green sticker with a clear piece laid over it, creating a cool effect unique to this series of Gundams. It's a nice touch.

The bad:

-No blades for the Beam Sabers. Why?

-Kyrios' GN Shield also had an extending heat blade in the show that isn't present here, and you'll have to upgrade to the 1/100 to get that. It's a small quibble really, as the shield still looks and performs excellently in all other aspects.

-In the show, the flight mode of Kyrios could be equipped with an assault container that held missiles and bombs. That contain isn't present here.

-You have to switch out some parts to transform the kit. The legs in particular have to be entirely removed and attached to a new piece, meaning you'll have to partially disassemble the kit to transform it. It's easy enough to do overall, but you won't be doing this maneuver except once when you figure out how you want it posed, and then it's not worth the effort to mess with it again.

-The feet and hip joints are weak. The feet are three pieces- a heel that doesn't touch the ground, a bottom of the foot piece, and a top of the foot piece, and the bottom/top pieces don't securely fasten, meaning you'll have only two hinged pieces of plastic balancing your kit. With some work and using the top parts of help keep the feet down, standing the kit is possible, but not easy or very stable. The hip joints are meant for easy transformation and don't securely pop into place, they just sort of rest in position. This complicates posing as a hip might fall out of place while positioning the feet. I'd heavily suggest finding and purchasing the stand for this kit, just so its weak feet don't cause a shelf dive.

-As a small note to painters, the the cockpit and tail from flight mode lock together when the suit is out of flight mode, and this is done by having a hole in the cockpit near where the pilot would be, to fit a peg in the tail. If you're going to keep this kit posed in flight mode, you might even consider covering this hole to help the overall appearance.

Overall, this is a decent kit. If you bother to pose it on a stand, it's an excellent kit because virtually every little intricate bit is present and poses well. Without the stand, it's just a bit too flimsy to give a perfect rating.
