I build gundam models all the time when I can A. find them and B. have the money to spend on them. I saw this and figured "why not, it could be interesting to see my models take on aerial like poses and for the money." This base stand is cheap and is just like a standard gundam model. You have to build it like and model which takes maybe, maybe 10 minutes at the most.
This thing has 4 different holders to place on the end so it works for several different gundam models. At the time I don't have and models left to place on this stand but I recently got the gundam 00 exia action figure and it works with this stand. I tried other gundam toys in my collection on this stand but they didn't work. From what I can tell most MSIA figures will work with this stand but since this was meant for the models and not the toys don't expect it to work because I just lucked out on this one.
Although this thing is a great deal and built like a tank I do have one problem with it and that's that it is to light. What I mean by this is that with a model or figure on it, especially a figure, you can only set the crane rod over the stand. Though you can twist the rod stand around on the base the stand alone is really heavy and causes the stand to tilt and fall over. This can be solved by adding weight to the base since it is flat and has plenty of room to do so but it's a hassle. Even with this problem I still enjoy this stand.
Anyways there are several different stands with different looks and shapes but all do the same thing. This particular model comes in a few different colors like red, green, and of course this blue one. I recommend this stand to anyone who is looking for one for their gundam models. If you haven't used or seen one and are looking for your first I recommend this one since it's basic, simple to build, and is one of the cheaper ones and if you like it then buy more or get one of the different types that are out like the zeon emblem, or the federation emblem or even the celestial being emblem. Well worth the extra cash to check out and add a little more flare to your models.
