Technical Details

- This snap-fit First Grade kit of Gundam Exia from "Gundam 00" will be a breeze for experienced modelers and a good learning experience for newcomers to build and practice basic modeling skills on before moving up to higher grade levels
- Polycaps are included for basic articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, knees, and ankles. Runners are molded in white, blue, red, and yellow, with foil stickers for some details
- While painting is not required for this model, it will be necessary if you want show-accurate details, and would add a more realistic appearance to the final product

this gundam model 1/60 exia is really cool. it looks REALLY good and its really cheap for a 1/60 model - around [...] dollars. (average is about (150-250 but the detail in this model isnt quite as good as other 1/60 models. this is a great model for beginners and if you just wanted one gundam model, YOU MUST BUY THIS ONE! if you are collecting gundam model, you can start with this one but i recommend buying the 1/100 first.

I bought this product as a gift for someone else, they absolutely loved it from what I can tell. I never actually experience or observe the process of its being built but I've seen the final product and it looks great. The model is quite sturdy and more durable than the 1/100 MG I used to buy. The details on this thing is passable despite being only a HG at best. Would prefer an MG model of this size but I realize then that would cost a lot more. This thing is at a good price but lowering it couldn't hurt. Great model for those into Gundam00 or just like some mecha stuff on their desk/shelves.

This model is from Gundam 00. It is a "snap on" model. It is great because you do not have to be a pro to assemble this. It looks AWESOME when finished and much more if you choose to paint it. It is a very good price considering the perfect grade models 1/60 scale will cost 130 to 200 bucks !!(ouch.)

The quality is great and you can use frame the box art also. I recommend to watch the anime.

 "The best of its run" 2008-06-30

The 1/144 scale HG Gundam Exia is simply the best model from its line, and a really fine kit overall.



What you get:

-Good poseability. The suit can't really crouch effectively (few 1/144 kits can), but has sturdy joints that allow it to stand well and can recreate a ton of cool poses. There are even details down to the "kneecaps" of the unit being an individual unit that can be adjust independently.

-No glue, no paint. It all snaps together, and the included stickers do a good job of making this kit look great, and if you want to paint all you'll have to do is detail work. The kit looks excellent as is.

-All the weapons. The Seven Swords Gundam is in full swing here. The large E-carbon blade folds down to reveal a submachine gun, or folds out to turn the unit into an almost traditional-looking sword. The two GN Blades have removable hip mounts, so you can leave them off without affecting the looks of the kit whatsoever. There are even blades for the Beam Sabers (which were mysteriously absent from other kits). The only small concern is that there are only two Beam Sword blades, meaning you can't recreate the Beam Daggers from the show. Really a small concern overall, as there's more equipment here than you find in most other 1/144 kits.



The rough bits:

-The GN Blades don't fasten very securely, and if you're posing the kit, I'd recommend pulling them off until the final step. They rest just fine, but they pop out very easily while posing. Or remove them and their mounts entirely to make the unit more streamlined- the kit can do that.

-As mentioned, you get hilts for the Beam Daggers but no blades.



Overall, this may be the best of the Gundam units from the HG 1/144 line. It has virtually every piece seen in the show, and they're all fantastic. Highly recommended. I'd also suggest getting the actual action stand for this kit, only because the mass of weapons it can mount deserves an appropriately cool pose.

It looks awesome, and it's very flexible. However, it doesn't like to hold its swords much, the attachment for its largest sword/rifle combo is awkward, and its beam saber storage doesn't work too well. Somewhat disappointing, considering most if not all SEED figures before it had improved on weapons handling, but still a pretty fun toy. I might recommend the robot damashii version when its released instead.

I have brought many MSIA gundams in the past but the Gundam 00 series of action figures I'm really impressed with. The articulation is over 40 points so the poses you can do are many and the level of detail in the paint job is excellent. So I would definitely recommend this action figure to anyone who is a fan of the Gundam 00 series and a gundam fan in general.

I thought Gundam 00 was pretty good. And Exia was definetely one of, if not my favorite of the four Gundams. So when I saw this for sale, I was pretty excited to buy it. Upon recieving it, I was very impressed by the details of the figure and the amount of articulation; you can pose it in many of the stances seen in the show itself! Not only that, but the joints are sturdy, allowing the limbs to stay in place without sacrificing smooth movement. The toy itself is OVERALL very durable. I did notice a couple minor flaws; the GN Long Blade's handle was slightly bent out of shape, as was the GN Rifle. The shield was perfect though (very articulate, doesn't fall off easily)!

My biggest complaint was, within 10 minutes of fiddling around with the parts, the piece connecting the rifle to the sword completely snapped! I was able to patch it back together, but I must warn future buyers: the GN Sword/Rifle is rather fragile! Handle it with care.

One of the newest in my japanese imported gundam mobile suit in action collection! This toy is overall very durable and offers a very detailed paint job. The best part is you can pose it in any pose you wish! For those of you familier with the Gundam 00 series this is one figure you want to get your hands on. This is the 1st gundam introduced in the series, piloted by the series' main character Setsuna F. Seiei.
