I know a place where they sell millions of Gundam models for $20 a piece, but this is well worth the price, since the TV anime did air almost 13 years ago, so this model is hard to find in retail stores.
For anyone who does not know, this is the HG (or High Grade) model version of this Gundam. The levels are HG (around $25 or so), MG (Master Grade, around $50+) And PG (Perfect Grade, easily goes over $100, but is well worth it). If you are willing to spend the money, a Gundam fan, or just a hobbyist, I would suggest getting the PG or MG models. If price is a problem, stick to the HG models, they're impressive themselves.
Almost all of the pieces are colored silver so it looks cool. It is not the real color of the Gundam, but it looks okay. The only thing that I am sad about are the wings of this model; It is just one piece of silver plastic with a few movable parts. For anyone who loves this model (I do, my favorite Gundam), try to research the PG or MG models for information on more movable/complex wings, because that is the one main thing that gives this Gundam its uniqueness.
Overall, a great buy.

Great little snap-together injection plastic kit of the Sword Impulse Gundam, from the new series "Gundam SEED Destiny". All parts are molded in colour; no glue or paint are required. Polycaps make the joints movable; and foil stickers are included for detail. These little kits are inexpensive and simplified (compared to High Grade, Master Grade, and especially Perfect Grade kits), and so are ideal for new builders and smaller hands.

My son received this model for Christmas. He has about 3 or 4 Gundam models and is disappointed in this one because it has no joint poseability.

Gundam PG RX-78-2 Gundam Scale 1/60

Things don't get much better than this for Gundam fans. The kit that Bandai has produced is truly amazing. The most striking aspect is the incredible level of INNER detail. It's almost a shame to put any of the cover panels on this thing, because there is so much on the inside that a little silver and black paint will make very interesting to look at. Bandai is aware of this, and is also going to market an optional parts set for the kit that includes transparent body pieces! This is due in December, we're told. That set will also include a light-up beam saber. What can you say about this kit? Though some weapons are not included (no doubt for a later release), it's just about everything you could hope for in terms of detail and poseability. Even little actuators in some joints slide in and out like hydraulic pistons when you move them (wrists, etc.). What's more, a watch battery (CR1220) lights the eyes in the head, activated by a tiny switch on the back. Other gimmicks include wings on the core fighter which fold automatically when you tuck in the nose for docking. For a true Gundam hobbyist, there's simply no question about whether you should order this. Even if you don't plan on painting or gluing anything, you should prepare yourself for several evenings of snipping, trimming and snapping before your masterpiece will be completed. There are, after all, 626 parts on 23 runners which combine to form a model that stands nearly 31cm high and 13cm wide with 66 moving joints and 29 opening hatches. What fun!

This item is a posable, high-grade or better injection-plastic kit of an item from the Gundam universe. It does not require either cement or paint to complete or use. 739 parts. 31.5cm high when completed. The PG Wing 0 Custom was quite an accomplishment for the engineering staff at Bandai. But they are not the type to sit idly by and so they created this masterpiece - the Perfect Grade Gundam Mk. II, Lets start with the package - in a word - huge!. Over 739 parts on 30 trees of injection molded and ABS plastic. 2 books - one on the construction and one on the history of the mech with color art. A very large press-on markings sheet that is unbelievably detailed. To finish it off - a non-region encoded DVD featuring CGI footage of the mech in action plus numerous still and detail photos which is well worth the price of this kit. The skeleton of this kit is amazing. Made from ABS plastic and fully articulated with all the hydraulic pistons molded in metal-like chrome. This skeleton system is similar to that found in the new MG G Gundam kit and is very sturdy without the tendency to slip like earlier kits. The covering armor is totally removable and easily attached. All parts are pre-colored and like all other PG kits it simply snaps and screw together. However painting of the parts will greatly enhance the appearance. This is Bandai's most amazing kit to date. I wonder what they will do for an encore?

I don't care if people called me an "otaku", or a man who doesn't have the understanding of what a girl is, i don't care, this is a must, one of the very best models, and from the best gundam movie ever, this and the sazabi are a must, and this is the one you want, because you have something quite challenging to build, and fun in the process, and not too simple that a retard can do it, and besides why would you want the PG model, it's hugely expensive, too difficult, and it's not meant for human beings, but with this, the HG model who's aimed to a wider and more human audience, you can enjoy having and being part of this Gundam Era.
By HavocMech (USA)
Here it is! The biggest, baddest Gundam ever flown in the UC. After this, all other mobile suits go for a more compact design. One thing that potentially worried me about this model were the funnel pieces. However, BanDai locked them firmly into place with a series of latches that do not wear out or droop. In addition to the funnels, this model comes with one of the coolest beam rifles ever, a bazooka, the large beam saber, and a superbly engineered shield that even sports the mounted missles. I have yet to see another MG kit that the weapons are this finely engineered, and mounted on the model. This kit simply will not drop the weapons once you have it posed.
The main reason for this kit having the unique distinction of never having dropped a weapon or accessory, is the superb engineering of the mech itself. BanDai went all out, even incorporating metal inner body and foot structures to this model to improve stability and posability. I have never seen engineering like this in any other Gundam MG model. I honestly think this model was used as a testbed for ideas to improve the Perfect Grade Gundam model series. The scale may be smaller, but this model is almost Perfect Grade in quality and details. I keep waiting for BanDai to put as much care and effort into other MG models as they did this one. The Version 2.0 Mk-II and Zeta come close, but do not match the quality of this model.
If you only get one MG Gundam ever, make it this one! You will not be disappointed! Why are there not six star ratings?!
